Troubleshooting ApexGuard Connectivity on Windows
App Configuration Issues
- Ensure your ApexGuard account is active.
- Check if you’re using the latest app version (e.g., 7.27.5):
- Open the app and go to Settings. The version is displayed at the top.
- Update the app if necessary:
- Uninstall the current version.
- Download the latest version from the ApexGuard website.
- Switch between TCP and UDP protocols in the app.
- Connect to another VPN server.
- Reset the application:
- Go to Settings → General → Diagnostics → Run Diagnostics → Reset App.
Windows OS Issues
Certain connectivity issues may stem from Windows OS settings. Refer to our Windows troubleshooting guide for more details.
Error: “Blocking DNS failed”
- Reinstall TAP Drivers:
- Open Control Panel → Add or Remove Programs.
- Remove ApexGuard network TAP.
- Download and install the TAP drivers from ApexGuard’s website.
- Adjust adapter settings:
- Go to Network and Sharing Center → Change Adapter Settings.
- Right-click TAP-ApexGuard Windows Adapter and select Properties.
- Open TCP/IPv4 → Properties → Advanced.
