App Configuration Issues

  1. Ensure your ApexGuard account is active.
  2. Check if you’re using the latest app version (e.g., 7.27.5):
    • Open the app and go to Settings. The version is displayed at the top.
  3. Update the app if necessary:
    • Uninstall the current version.
    • Download the latest version from the ApexGuard website.
  4. Switch between TCP and UDP protocols in the app.
  5. Connect to another VPN server.
  6. Reset the application:
    • Go to Settings → General → Diagnostics → Run Diagnostics → Reset App.

Windows OS Issues

Certain connectivity issues may stem from Windows OS settings. Refer to our Windows troubleshooting guide for more details.

Error: “Blocking DNS failed”

  1. Reinstall TAP Drivers:
    • Open Control Panel → Add or Remove Programs.
    • Remove ApexGuard network TAP.
    • Download and install the TAP drivers from ApexGuard’s website.
  2. Adjust adapter settings:
    • Go to Network and Sharing Center → Change Adapter Settings.
    • Right-click TAP-ApexGuard Windows Adapter and select Properties.
    • Open TCP/IPv4 → Properties → Advanced.
    • Uncheck Automatic and set Interface Metric to 1.
