ApexGuard Not Connecting on Mac
If ApexGuard isn’t connecting, follow these steps to troubleshoot:
1. Check Account Status
Ensure your account is active and your subscription is valid.
2. Switch VPN Protocol
- Click the gear icon at the bottom-left corner of the app.
- Go to General → VPN Protocol.
- Select OpenVPN (TCP) and try reconnecting.
3. Change DNS Servers
If switching the protocol doesn’t help:
- Set your DNS to Cloudflare DNS (1.1.1.1, 1.0.0.1).
(Note: These DNS servers are not provided by ApexGuard; use at your discretion.)
4. Use Obfuscated Servers
- Go to the Specialty Servers section in the app.
- Select Obfuscated Servers (only available after switching to TCP).
5. Resolve Keychain Pop-ups
If a keychain prompt appears:
- Enter your system password.
- If the prompt doesn’t disappear, follow this guide to unlock the keychain.
