Change DNS Servers on Android TV

Learn how to use ApexGuard

Get started and stay protected

To set up ApexGuard’s private DNS servers on your Android TV, follow the steps below. Menu names may vary slightly by device.

  1. Open your network settings:
    • Open Settings (cogwheel icon).
    • Go to Network and Internet.
    • Note your IP Address and Gateway (Router IP).
  2. Switch to a static IP:
    • In IP Settings, change the setting from DHCP to Static.
    • Enter your IP Address and Gateway from step 1.
    • For Network Prefix Length, enter the value your network uses. This is usually 24, but check your router if your connection drops.
  3. Enter DNS Servers:
    • Preferred DNS: (to be added)
    • Alternate DNS: (to be added)

Save your changes. Your Android TV will now use ApexGuard’s private DNS servers.
