Installing ApexGuard Application on macOS
Downloading and Installing
- Visit the ApexGuard app page on the App Store or navigate to our Downloads Page and click the App Store link.
- Confirm to Open the App Store when prompted.
- In the App Store, click the blue Get button, then choose to Install the app.
- Once the installation completes, press Open to launch the application.
Setting Up and Using the Application
- Open Launchpad and click on the ApexGuard icon.
- Choose Log In or Sign Up in the top-right corner:
- Log In: Enter your registered email address and password. Alternatively, sign in with your Google account, Apple ID, or via a code.
- Sign Up: New users must create an account by providing their email address and other required information.
- Grant any permissions ApexGuard requests, following the on-screen instructions.
- After you log in, the main ApexGuard window appears, with a server map you can navigate visually or search.
Connecting to Servers
- SmartConnect: Click the button in the top-right corner to connect to the fastest available server.
- Manual Selection: Use the search bar in the top-left corner to find a server by country or city.
- Favorite Servers: Save preferred servers so you can return to them quickly.
ApexGuard Features Overview
- Map: Navigate and connect using the interactive map.
- ThreatShield: Blocks ads, trackers, and malicious domains using DNS filtering while connected.
- Dark Web Monitor: Scan for leaked credentials tied to your ApexGuard email address.
Customizing Settings
- Kill Switch: Blocks unprotected internet access if the VPN disconnects.
- Appearance: Choose between dark or light mode and configure dock or menu bar visibility.
- Split Tunneling: Exclude certain apps from the VPN connection.
