How to Disable IPv6 on Windows

Disabling IPv6 can resolve certain connectivity issues. Follow the steps for your Windows version.

Windows 10

1. Right-click the network icon in the notification tray and select Open Network & Internet settings.
2. Open Network and Sharing Center, then click Change adapter settings.
3. Right-click your network adapter and choose Properties.
4. Uncheck Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6).
5. Click OK, then Close.

Windows 11

1. Press Windows + R, type ncpa.cpl, and press Enter to open Network Connections.
2. Right-click your network adapter and choose Properties.
3. Uncheck Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6).
4. Click OK, then Close.
