How to Disable IPv6 on Windows
Disabling IPv6 can resolve certain connectivity issues. Follow the steps for your Windows version.
Windows 10
- Right-click the network icon in the notification tray and select Open Network & Internet settings.
- Open Network and Sharing Center, then click Change adapter settings.
- Right-click your network adapter and choose Properties.
- Uncheck Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6).
- Click OK, then Close.
Windows 11
- Press Windows + R, type
ncpa.cpl, and press Enter to open Network Connections. - Right-click your network adapter and choose Properties.
- Uncheck Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6).
- Click OK, then Close.
