Installing ApexGuard (App Store) Version on macOS
Downloading and Installing
- Visit the ApexGuard app page on the App Store or navigate to our Downloads Page and select the App Store version.
- Confirm to Open the App Store when prompted.
- In the App Store, click the blue Get button, then choose to Install the app.
- Once the installation completes, press Open to launch the application.
Setting Up and Using the Application
- Open Launchpad and click on the ApexGuard icon.
- Choose Log In or Sign Up in the top-right corner:
- Log In: Enter your registered email address and password. Alternatively, sign in with your Google account, Apple ID, or via a code.
- Sign Up: New users must create an account by providing their email address and other required information.
- After logging in, you may need to grant necessary permissions. Follow on-screen instructions to allow ApexGuard to function optimally.
- After successful login, the main ApexGuard window will appear, showcasing:
- Server Map: Navigate servers visually or use the search bar.
- Specialty Section: Explore servers tailored for specific purposes like streaming or extra security.
Connecting to Servers
- Quick Connect: Click the button in the top-right corner to connect to the fastest available server.
- Manual Selection: Use the Search bar in the top-left corner to find a server by country, category, or server number (e.g., Canada #1224).
- Specialty Servers: Hover over the categories under the Specialty Servers section and click the three-dot menu to select specific options.
ApexGuard Features Overview
- Map: Navigate and connect using the interactive map.
- Threat Protection: Block ads, trackers, and malicious URLs with Threat Protection or Threat Protection Pro™ for advanced features.
- Dark Web Monitor: Scan for leaked credentials tied to your ApexGuard email address.
- Presets: Create tailored configurations for specific activities (e.g., streaming or gaming) for quick access.
Customizing Settings
- Kill Switch: Prevent unprotected internet access if your VPN disconnects unexpectedly.
- Appearance: Choose between dark or light mode and configure dock or menu bar visibility.
- Trusted Networks: Avoid auto-connecting to VPN on secure Wi-Fi networks like your home.
- Split Tunneling: Exclude certain apps from the VPN connection.
